This Was How Mary Pierce Ended Her Tennis Career

Accidents and  injuries happen all the time in sports. Some are fatal and some are so bad that they can end sportsman’s career. Mary Pierce had such worst injury that was so bad that it ended her tennis career.

Mary Peirce was playing against Vera Zvonareva at the Generali Ladies Linz tournament in October 2006. She took first round by 6-4 and was going through second round also leading by 6-5 when she suddenly fell on the court.  Her excruciating pain was realized when she screamed in agony. But it was so bad because as soon as she fell no immediate help came to her. It was very mesmerizing to see her laying there on the court grasping her left leg.

Mary Pierce have won 4 Grand Slams title and many other tournaments. She is the last French to have own French Open Title till this date.
